Maurice Quinlivan is the Sinn Féin General Election candidate for Limerick East. Maurice is a 40year old married Travel Agency manager originally from Ballynanty Beg now living in the Thomondgate area of Limerick City. He comes from a strong Republican background. Maurice is a graduate of the School of Professional and Management Studies in Limerick.
After graduating he like most of his class emigrated and lived in England for 9 years. There he was active in Republican politics and issues affecting the Irish community. On his return in 1999 he rejoined Sinn Féin and has served as Secretary of it's Munster executive and was a member of the party's Ard Comhairle. He contested the local elections in 2004 where he narrowly failed to take a seat at his first attempt.
Among his interests are football, history and travel.
