Dublin West - Felix Gallgher

Councillor Felix Gallagher is Sinn Féin's Dublin 15 Representative on Fingal County Council. He has also been selected as the party's candidate for the constituency of Dublin West in the forthcoming General Election.

Felix currently works as a Community Development worker in Blanchardstown and has worked in the local area over the last number of years.

Currently he is engaged in a broad range of local projects which include providing improved bus and rail services, a Policing Forum, playgrounds and a range of community facilities for his constituents. More recently he was part of Sinn Féin's negotiating team with the British and Irish Governments.

On an ongoing basis, Felix works with local people on issues such as housing, health, anti-social behaviour and improving general living conditions for the people of West Dublin. His work has involved him dealing with various departments within Fingal County Council. As a councillor, he believes that he will be able to exercise more influence on the council on behalf of local people.

Mr. Gallagher is a long-standing Republican having joined Sinn Féin in the early 90's. He has worked and contributed to An Phoblacht/Republican News, the official voice of the Republican Movement in Ireland.

With a BA Degree, Mr. Gallagher specialises in Community Development. He is married with a young family and has a real understanding of the challenges and issues confronting young people attempting to raise families today.

As a councillor, he is committed to serving the people of Dublin 15 and will make himself available to consult on local concerns.
