Waterford - David Cullinane

David is a native of Waterford City and lives in Lisduggan. His father's family hails from Bunmahon. He is 31 years old and was educated at St Paul's school and Dublin Institute of Technology. He works as a researcher for Sinn Féin attached to the Dáil. Elected to Waterford City Council in 2004, David chairs the Ward 3 Area Committee and the Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee as well as serving on the Housing and Environment Strategic Policy Committees. He is a director and Management Committee member of the Larchville and Lisduggan Community Development Project.

David has been a member of Sinn Féin's Ard Comhairle since 2003 and has been a vocal supporter of the Good Friday Agreement. He is a strong believer in empowering people through local campaigning, and was involved in the campaign for Public Radiotherapy provision at Waterford Regional Hospital. He has particular interest in housing and health issues.
